In many remote areas in Nigeria, most villages are not connected to the electricity grid and use either kerosene lamps or torches with one-way batteries to have at least some light in the evening. This is about to change with the Asteven solar home systems distributed via Rural Electrification Agency (REA) Projects.

The REA Project to deploy 650, 000 units of solar homes to Nigeria remote villages, Asteven deployment has begun in Ogun State, Our AS Solar Truck has moved 1000 units from ASTEVEN Warehouse at Lagos Ibadan expressway to Okoluwo remote village Ward 1 in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The distribution system is a great solution to provide energy access and cost-efficient infrastructure to people who live in remote areas. The 1000 units of solar home system will be distributed to the following villages in Ogun State, Okoluwo Village, Elepa Town, Ajelanwa Village, Igbore Village, Ijepe Village and Oluwafere Village while providing them solar energy to charge the mobile phone, light up homes and power fans from day today.
